Plans included working with local studios, freelance choreography, presentations at conferences - but everything went sideways in light of the pandemic and subsequent social and cultural upheavals. People told me retirement would be a completely new experience - they were right in all the weird ways. Nonetheless, I find myself - and my family - blessed in this strange moment, and am thankful every day FOR every day. I feel able to fully focus, listen, and respond more than ever before. Time is the only true resource, and as Gandalf said: "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
Every morning, I'm thrilled to meet the challenge, and grateful for the chance.
